GLOSSARY
COMPLETION
Completion is the final milestone in a property transaction when money and ownership is transferred.
On this day, the remaining purchase monies are transferred from the buyer’s conveyancer to the seller’s conveyancer and the keys are released.
Once completion funds have safely arrived in the seller's account the transaction is officially complete and the buyer can legally move into the property. After completion the buyer's conveyancer handle post-completion formalities such as paying Stamp Duty Land Tax and registering the new ownership with HM Land Registry.
